Stopping evictions

The Stop Desahucios (Stop Evictions) campaign carried out by PAH has as its goal to stop the abuse that entails leaving many people homeless. It stops evictions by promoting civic concentrations that impair the judicial police to carry out the act of dispossession.
In order to stop the eviction of families who have had their house auctioned, peaceful concentrations of citizens are organized so that the judicial committee and bank representatives cannot approach the house to the point that they end up desisting from following through with the eviction. These actions allow for more time to put further pressure on the bank and on the public administration in the search for a solution (through dation in payment, a reasonable rental agreement and/or by rehousing the family).
