Shell or Shed Home.

A shed home is that with a volume larger than what needs to be occupied to begin with, thus allowing for later extensions within it by way of inserting mezzanines, without introducing any changes to the initial volume. The structure and construction system of the home is laid out so it can receive these new elements, with beams and slabs that are easy to put in, even for the homes users, once the home is inhabited.
